For the past five decades, education experts and politicians have tried to ignore, downplay, and deny the devastating effects that obvious school funding inequities have been having on Black and poor students across America. They have succeeded in doing so primarily by propagating the false notion that the only way to fund America’s schools is the current inequitable way. “Equal School Dollars For All,” defies their logic by highlighting existing school funding inequities, and illustrating plausible alternative strategies for providing equal funding to all school districts. It gives educators, parents, and concerned community members invaluable insight into the battle that must be waged and won if all students are ever to be treated equally in the public school system.
